In Litmanová, hiking trails lead to the Litmanovské skalky nature reserve. There, the Chapel of the Immaculate Conception of the Most Holy Mother of God on Mount Zvir was established on September 7, 2008, together with the entire site and the spring, as a pilgrimage site of the Greek Catholic Archdiocese of Prešov.
Hiking trail PI07 runs between Šafranovka and Vysoká along the Slovak-Polish state border. The named mountains Nemecký vrch, Chotárňa, Hrubá Klada, and Široký vrch are located in the surrounding area.
In Vyšné Ružbachy, the grounds of the International Sculptors' Symposium were declared a cultural monument on July 1, 1997. The crater, also located there, is a legally protected travertine formation.
History and Culture
The Gothic Church of St. Nicholas dates from the end of the 13th century and contains a late Gothic stone baptismal font from the 16th century. Visits to its interior are organized by the tourist information center.
Ľubovňa Castle was built at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. From the castle tower, there is a view of the Tatras and the Three Crowns in the Pieniny Mountains.
The municipal tourism and regional development agency Marmon operates the tourist information center, the Dom ľubovnianskeho mešťana City Museum, and the Historical Military Camp.
