The rehabilitation area of the Horné Saliby Relaxation and Rehabilitation Centre offers massages, physiotherapy with ultrasound, magnetotherapy and electrotherapy. There are also Finnish, steam and infrared saunas with a relaxation room, hydromassage showers, foot massages and a small indoor swimming pool with massage pools.

Culture and History

The history of Horné Saliby is reflected in its religious buildings, manor house and archaeological traces. The Roman Catholic Church of Saint Lawrence the Deacon stands on the foundations of an older place of worship dating from the 11th century. The present-day Neoclassical Roman Catholic Church of Saint Lawrence the Deacon was completed in 1775 according to plans by Jakab Fellner.

The Protestant church also has a clearly dated architectural development: it was remodelled in the Neoclassical style and fitted with a tower between 1856 and 1861. The Protestant congregation in Horné Saliby is bilingual and regularly holds Sunday services in Slovak at 09:15 and in Hungarian at 10:30.

The Esterházy manor house is located in the centre of Horné Saliby and is considered a cultural monument of local significance. The archaeological evidence reaches even further back: excavations in Horné Saliby attest to a settlement of the Lengyel culture.

Activities

The Csemadok cultural festival is part of the local cultural life. Horse riding is also among the sports and leisure activities available in Horné Saliby.
