Malé Dvorníky: Hotels, Culture and Cycle Paths

Malé Dvorníky is located near the Klátov arm and has a clearly structured settlement layout in which paths, a rise, sacred buildings and individual historical remains form different facets.

Cycle Paths

By bicycle, Malé Dvorníky is included in two route sequences. The Dunajská Streda–Malé Dvorníky–Dunajský Klátov cycle route runs along a cycle path and a forest track. A second cycle route leads from Dunajská Streda via Malé Dvorníky, Veľké Dvorníky, Ohrady and Trhová Hradská to Topoľníky. This route runs along a cycle path, a forest track and a paved road.

Culture

The Kápolnadomb rise is an earthen rampart that still exists today and is considered a remnant of the ring. The municipal cemetery, a church and a chapel are located on Kápolnadomb. The Roman Catholic Church of the Holy Trinity is listed there as a local monument, but is not registered in the Central Register of the Slovak Monument Fund. In 1955, it was converted into a single-nave church with a semicircular presbytery.

The Lourdes grotto is located in the cemetery near the church. It contains polychrome statues of the Virgin Mary and Saint Bernadette. The cemetery's main cross dates from 1730. Of the original furnishings of the Trinity Chapel, only a Baroque painting of the Holy Trinity, which was part of the altar, has survived to this day. The Trinity Chapel was consecrated in 1735 in honour of the Holy Trinity by the then Bishop of Bratislava, Štefan Bakó.

Other prominent buildings and sites of remembrance are located throughout the settlement. The manor house on Malá ulica dates from the late 19th century and was restored in 2013. The statue of the Victorious Christ in the centre of Malé Dvorníky was erected in 1877.

The Kalvária consists of three crosses with the crucified figures on separate pedestals in the form of stone hills. It was moved to the Malé Dvorníky branch before 1978 and still stands there today. The Kalvária is located on the northern edge of Malé Dvorníky, on a small rise near the Trinity Chapel from the late 19th century.

The village festival, held in Malé Dvorníky every year on the first Sunday after Pentecost, is part of the local annual cycle. In the immediate vicinity of the municipal office, there is also an unusual rest area with a thatched roof.
