Královice: Hotels and Accommodations

Královice can be considered from several clearly defined perspectives: culture and history, landscape, and trails and local projects.

Culture

The medieval fortress “Tvrz Královice” is first mentioned toward the end of the 14th century. The Renaissance alterations to the fortress, evidenced by the date on the plaster of the tower’s south façade, date from 1562. The fortress is unused and in critical condition.

The chapel “Kaple sv. Archanděla Michaela” dates from the second half of the 18th century. It is registered as a cultural monument under registration number 35391/2-496 and was completely reconstructed in 2012.

The sandstone bridge “Pískovcový most” is a two-span arch bridge over the Bakovský stream. Statues of Saint Wenceslas and Saint John of Nepomuk stand on it. The stone road bridge over the Bakovský stream in Královice underwent extensive repairs from December 2014 to August 2015; the drainage was restored and some visible defects in its appearance were remedied.

The “Královické slavnosti a dožínky” are considered a traditional local event. Editions took place in 2018, 2019, and 2024.

Landscape

The “Koulova lípa” has been protected as a memorial tree since October 22, 2012. It is a small-leaved lime (Tilia cordata) estimated to be 250 to 270 years old.

Trails and Projects

The “Koňská stezka Královice–Neprobylice” riding trail connects Královice with Neprobylice. In addition, Královice is the main initiator of the newly emerging “Středočeská koňská stezka Sever-Jih”, which is intended to connect existing riding trails in the Ústecký Region and the South Bohemian Region.

The maps for the “Středočeská koňská stezka Sever-Jih” show riding routes as well as ranches where horses can be rented, overnight stays booked, and meals provided.

The “Přírodní posilovna a workoutové hřiště” project involves the construction of a permanently installed, freely accessible fitness facility with five separate pieces of training equipment. It is planned for a heavily frequented hiking trail between Královice and Neprobylice, in the immediate vicinity of newly created ponds and meadows.

Other local pages lead to Želenice, Páleč, Žižice, Pletený Újezd, Svárov, Hřebeč, Velká Dobrá and Buštěhrad.
