Osek: Hotels and Accommodation

Hrádek is located on the site where Zálužský hrad Castle stood in the Middle Ages. Hrádek remains a local landmark of the landscape to this day.

Culture and History

A chapel with a square floor plan, a tent-shaped roof and a wooden lantern containing a bell stands in the village square. It is of local heritage significance. Near the chapel, the war memorial in the village square commemorates those who fell in the world wars.

The cast-iron cross on the road to Újezd stands opposite the school in Osek. The T. G. Masaryk monument in Osek Park was donated in 1948 by a group of people from Osek in Prague. Osek House No. 66 is a traditional timbered house of heritage value.

The “Běh partyzánskou stezkou” race held in Osek has already taken place for the 44th time. It is held in memory of the anti-fascist resistance in the Hořovice region. The route partly follows an asphalt road and then continues through woodland to a partisan shelter and back.

Landscape

Žákův rybník and U Severů are among the two ponds that have survived in Osek out of a total of ten historic ponds.

Cycling

The “From Hořovice to Záskalská and Komárov” cycle route leads into the municipality of Osek. A cycle path from Osek to the outskirts of Hořovice is expected to be built soon.
