Komušín: Hotels and Accommodation

Komušín is located in the Horažďická pahorkatina Nature Park. The chapel of Saint Bartholomew stands in the village square: it was built in 1803, is a protected cultural monument, is under heritage protection, and showcases the folk Baroque tradition of southwestern Bohemia.

Culture and History

In the lower part of the village square, next to the bus stop, stands a granite World War memorial. It commemorates local victims of the World War from 1914 to 1918. The plaque on the anniversary monument mentions the 35th anniversary of the liberation, 600 years since the founding of the village, and 90 years of the local volunteer fire brigade.

In the vicinity of Komušín lies Rybník Komušín, which consists of an upper and a lower basin. Both serve to store surface water in the landscape and for fish farming. As a private fishing area, Rybník covers 15 hectares. There is also a body of water near Komušín between a reservoir and a lake, where fishing experiences are offered.
