Culture and History
The small Rococo Church of St. Adalbert stands in Račetice village square. It was built in 1770; inside is an original niche altar with a statue of St. Adalbert.
Račetice was founded by no later than the turn of the 12th and 13th centuries. Its location at the crossroads of the Kadaň–Podbořany and Vilémov–Libědice routes may also have contributed to the village’s rapid expansion.
The Vojtěchovská pilgrimage took place in Račetice village square in 2011 and again from 2013 to 2016. The Cibulářský ples is a traditional dance event in Račetice.
Landscape and Surroundings
The surroundings of Račetice include Kolina Mountain, the Svatý Prokop monument, Lipová Mountain, the Zřícenina Lina ruins, and Tok Mountain. In the wider regional area around Račetice are Mravenčák Mountain and the Zřícenina Pravda ruins.
Next to the Protestant chapel stands the Račetický dub summer oak, which is protected as a natural monument. The Račetice irrigation cistern is considered suitable for swimming.
