Skršín: Hotels and Accommodation
Skršín has preserved its agricultural character to this day and lies on the western edge of the České středohoří Protected Landscape Area. A green-marked hiking trail leads through the village from Bedřich Světec via Dobrčice to Lužice.
Nature and Landscape
The mountains Dlouhá and Číčov are located in the immediate surroundings of Skršín. Křižové vršky and Raná are also in the vicinity and are mountains.
History and Village Centre
The first written mention of Skršín dates back to 1100. The village square is home to the Holy Trinity ensemble. In Dobrčice, a stone cross depicts the crucified Christ; a relief of the Virgin Mary holding Christ’s body in her arms is located on the prismatic pedestal.
Chrámce Chateau and Regional Produce
Chrámce Chateau was gradually converted into its present form between 1795 and 1805. It is not freely accessible for visits, but only by prior appointment. Chrámce is historically known for its wine production. The organic orchards there offer fruit, dried fruit, cider and their own distillates.
Castle Ruins in the Surrounding Area
The surroundings of Skršín are home to the ruins of Hradek Oltářík, Hrádek and Sukoslav castles. The ruins of Hazmburk are also located in the wider regional area.
