Trpín: Hotels amid Hont history and hilly landscapes
Trpín lies in the Krupinská výšina, in a flat valley formed by the Trpín stream, a tributary of the Litavica. This location combines a clearly named watercourse with the expansive landscape of the hill country. Visitors who want to get to know the village not only through its name, but also through its history and visible landmarks, will find several different points of interest here.
Landscape
The cadastral area of Trpín consists of flat ridges with hilly relief. These ridges are cut through by the valley of the Trpín and its tributaries. The area is largely deforested; forests are found only on the slopes of the Slatina Valley. As a result, open ridges, incised valley forms and the clearly defined woodland on the slopes of the Slatina Valley stand side by side within the cadastral area.
History
Trpín is one of the oldest documented municipalities in Hont. The first surviving written document dates from 1135 and names the place as Terpen. A long historical period is also associated with Bzovík Monastery: from 1262 to 1848, Trpín belonged to the monastery's estates. A carved wayside cross with folk ornamentation dates from the 19th century and is dated 1826. Bobbin lace-making was also widespread in Trpín historically. The lace was made for the region's traditional costume and is therefore one of the village's traditional crafts.
Culture
Among the named religious buildings is the Roman Catholic Chapel of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, built in 1889. The chapel is a single-nave religious building with a segmental termination and a flat ceiling. It also includes a polychrome-painted carved cross from the late 19th century. A small bell tower stands in the centre of Trpín. The religious character of the village is complemented by a wayside statue of Saint John of Nepomuk.

Compare the offers shown based on these points, without assuming features that are not stated on the respective page. With different offers, these checks provide a clear basis for your own decision. Also pay attention to any possible minimum stay, deadlines for changes and whether additional services are included automatically or charged separately. For a fair comparison, use the same occupancy details and the same scope of services as your basis.
