Lupoč between Views, Nature and Local History

Several clearly identifiable landscape and cultural features come together in Lupoč. In the cadastral territory of Lupoč, a wooden tourist observation platform stands at the summit of Vinný vrch at an elevation of 522 m. Nature

Culture

The masonry bell tower in Lupoč is a cultural monument. It was built in 1886 and has bells from 1701, 1886 and 1921. The Chapel of St Anthony of Padua was built in 1696 in Antolík at the foot of Vínny vrch; a hermitage was later built beside it.

Folk architecture has been preserved in Lupoč. The Novohrad dialect of the so-called Zvolen type was spoken here. At the site of the former Chapel of St Anthony of Padua near Antolík at the foot of Vínny vrch, only the foundations remain today.

In the 17th century, a masonry bell tower was built in Lupoč on the site of an original wooden belfry. At the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries, a late Baroque bell with cast metal fittings was installed there.
