Culture

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary contains a baptismal font and a pulpit dating from the time of its construction. The main altar dates from the first half of the 19th century. The preserved monuments in Jurová also include the statue of the Holy Trinity. The Immaculata statue of the Virgin Mary is also located in the village. It stands on a globe and a crescent moon.

The cultural centre in Jurová has a capacity of 80 seats. Local cultural events, exhibitions, theatre performances and concerts are organised there. The traditional programme of events also includes the event “Celebration of Saint Stephen the King and the blessing of the new bread”. It was held for the fourth time and continued the tradition of celebrating this important holiday.

Nature

The Jurovský les nature reserve covers 21,369 square metres. It protects a rare remnant of floodplain forest amid the agricultural landscape of the Danube Lowland. Alongside the buildings and monuments, this forms a clearly defined natural area within the cadastral territory.
