The Rižana River Valley is particularly suitable for excursions in summer and offers opportunities to explore nature. The circular route “Krožna pot gradov” begins and ends in Rižana. In the section near the settlement of Rižana, paths laid out between the fields lead to the river.

Cycling

The challenging, 83-kilometre cycling route “Čez Istro za zahtevne (K13)” passes through Rižana. The cycling route “Po poti okrog Tinjana (K2)” is classified as moderately difficult. It is a 38-kilometre circular route that begins and ends in Koper. On the “Po poti okrog Tinjana (K2)” route, a field path leads to a picturesque section with weirs on the Rižana River.
