Mezihorí: Hotels and accommodations

Mezihorí combines a manageable range of winter sports with historical traces and architectural monuments. The Mezihoří ski resort has two downhill runs, one red and one blue. Two drag lifts serve the runs; snowboarding lessons are also available.

Winter

Free parking is available to visitors at the Mezihoří ski resort. The ski resort can be reached by regular bus services and can also be left using these services.

Several signposted trails and circular routes complement the stay. The Mezihoří–Blatno circular route begins at the Mezihoří ski resort, opposite the bottom station of the large drag lift. The easy Mezihoří–Blatno circular route is 3.5 km each way. The Mezihořský vršek circular route runs around the places of Mezihoří, Zákoutí and Mezihořský vršek; it is 15 km long and moderately difficult. Even before the war, two hiking trails to Mezihoří were signposted, one from Chomutov and one from Jirkov.

History

Mezihoří was founded on September 10, 1577. The place was formerly known as Gerštofr and in German as Gersdorf.

A chapel dating from 1900 stands in the upper part of Mezihoří. It was reconstructed, including its interiors. The Griessel Mill, also known as Höfer Mill, still stands today; remnants of its millrace have been preserved.
