Chrámec: Pieskovcové chrbty, Pohanská skala and Reformed Church

The Pieskovcové chrbty educational trail begins on the outskirts of Chrámec. The 4.6-kilometre circular trail passes through an area of European importance that is subject to the fourth and second levels of protection. Location between a basin and hilly country

Chrámec lies at the transition between the southern part of the Rimavská kotlina basin and the northeastern edge of the Cerová vrchovina hills. At the same time, the village lies in the valley of the Mačací potok stream. The Cerová vrchovina Protected Landscape Area is located in the cadastral territory of the municipality of Chrámec. Its geographical location therefore brings together different landscape contexts: on one side is the Rimavská kotlina basin, on the other the edge of the Cerová vrchovina hills, while the Mačací potok stream shapes the village valley.
