The original settlement of Rokytník already existed in the 14th century. Initially, the lands of Rokytník belonged to Bátka and Blh; in the 16th century, they developed into an independent village. The origin of today’s municipality is associated with residents who fled Turkish attacks, hid in the woodland known as Rekettyés, and subsequently settled there.

The historical traces include a two-storey manor house commissioned by Beélik. The manor house of Rokytník was demolished at the end of the 1960s. At the end of the village, trees approximately mark the former site of the manor house of Rokytník.
